Information for Owners
Welcome to the Unipol information for owners section. On these pages you will find lots of useful information about the services we provide, the benefits of joining Unipol and helpful advice on issues affecting the process of letting to students. To gain access to all the information available in this section you will need to be a member of Unipol.
If you are a current member of Unipol login here or use the link on the left hand side called Members Area. Once logged in you will see a link called 'View exclusive Members only pages on Owners' site', this will take you to the exclusive membership area. If you wish to make advert amends, generate contracts or use the Unipol/TDS scheme just use the appropriate link on the Owners' Administration System as before.
Advertising With Unipol
There has never been a better time to advertise with Unipol. In 2011 by the 1 December:
- 95% of the bed spaces advertised were let
- the website saw over 33 million hits
- students carried out over 350 thousand detailed searches

Membership of Unipol - real benefits
As a member of Unipol you will be able to access exclusive services and important market information.
- The Model Tenancy Generator - create Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreements free of charge using an online generator
- The Unipol/TDS Scheme - if you are also a member of the Unipol Code you can protect deposits for as little as £14.00 + VAT per tenancy. Unipol and the Dispute Service are working together to be able to offer competitive rates to landlords with smaller portfolios;
- HMO Licence discounts - If you are a landlord with HMOs you could be entitled to a discount if you are a member of the Unipol Code. Please visit Leeds City Council's HMO Licence Information
- Special training events - Unipol offer training events and support for members on how to get the most from their membership and the advertising service at Unipol.
- Regular analysis of the Leeds housing market - Valuable information will be available through email and the Members Area on what is letting and where, Unipol website hit rates and advice on rents;
- Quarterly Newsletter - The 'Unipol Landlord' is packed full of up-to-date news on what Unipol is doing and any sector changes that are likely to affect you.
- Unipol briefings on market trends - Unipol hold two briefings on the student market in Leeds each year. This valuable information is ONLY available to members of Unipol
- Owners Consultative Group meetings - view dates of when these meetings will take place;
- Larger Providers Consultative Group meetings - view dates of when these meetings will take place;
- Help for owners - This section includes information on Housing Health and Safety Rating System, gas safety certification, EPCs, Landlord's Energy Saving Allowance (LESA), low maintenance gardens
How to join and membership rates (2012 Rates)
Becoming a member of Unipol is easy. The Membership period runs from 1 January until 31 December 2012.
I am an owner with 1 property: £57.20
I am an owner with 2 - 30 Properties: £83.20
I am an owner with 31 Properties or over: £124.80
I am a Managing Agent who will not be advertising: £300
I am a Larger Development who will not be advertising: £400

Advertising Costs
Advertising Costs are stated on the Owner's Membership Form. However, if you are wanting to advertise more than 30 properties please email us with your requirements and we will negotiate directly with you.
